Featured Food: Mango

The featured food of this week is mango! mmm. Not only such a yummy treat for your taste buds but also for so much else!

  • Mangoes are rich in beta-carotene which supports and strengthens your skin — mangoes can even help prevent skin cancers!

  • Magnesium: big talk here. Magnesium is all the hype these days because most of us are unfortunately wildly deficient of it in our bodies and most specifically, in our gut. High levels of available magnesium from mangoes is known to help calm the central nervous system as well as the gastro-intestinal tract and digestive system.

  • Natural sleep aid! As I mentioned above, the magnesium in mangoes helps calm our central nervous system but! they also contain phytochemicals and amino acids that restore depleted neurotransmitters in our brains. These quick restorations can greatly help the brain translate signals and guide you into sleep mode.

  • Exercise stamina & recovery: mangoes provide your body and hard-worked muscles with trace amounts of sodium, magnesium, and glucose to give you the ability to exercise for longer periods of time and to have a less sore and more pleasant recovery.

Eat mangoes! Eat fruit! Eat breakfast! Eat! It’s so good for you :)
